PENRITH BROTHERS CABRA 9'S KNOCKOUT

Penrith Brothers had entered two teams in the international 9's  this year and with both sides doing the Penrith Brothers club proud, the Brothers second team beat international team Fiji to win the right to play in the bowl grand final but went down in a tight game 4 -8 and Penrith Brothers first second team went down in a very fast and hard fought game against Cabramatta 2  but also losing  6 - 4  in the plate semi final.

All players have to be commended with the stand outs being Mike Hawkins and Shannon Wood and new comers Jaye Mairleitner, Tim Baldwin who did very well

The Bundaberg Red Cup coach Steve Antonnelli said "the teams did very well considering that this was the first time most of the players have play together, this will give us a good insight of what some of the players are capable of going forward this year"

Penrith Brothers will be playing 3 trial matches the first will be Saturday 20th feb at  6pm against Mounties at Hickeys Lane the second on Saturday 27 Feb. at 6pm against Balmain at Hickeys lane the third at against Bathurst in Bathurst on Saturday 6th Feb with the Bundaberg Red Cup season kicking off on the weekend of 26th March against new comers The Entrance.
